iGuy from Speck and fun TOMS Shoes

So, about a week or maybe close to two weeks ago now, I had to do SOMETHING.  The case we had for Landrick's iPad was just not functionable for a kid.  Hes six, he drops it, the corner of the case instantly cracked.  Not good right... UNTIL... I had heard about this and I should have SO bought one way before this... but its called the iGuy by Speck.  Hes made of super soft heavy duty foam, comes in an amazing rainbow of colors, and I was able to do Walmart.com and have it shipped right to my store for pick up in les than 5 days.  Cool right? I highly recommend this thing, not only has be been dropped a few times, but he stands up on his legs all on his own.

Now, moving on to TOMS... I have worn these shoes for a while now. LOVE THEM.  Cant say enough about them. Comfy, stylish, and simple most of all. Well, the kid needed some new shoes for summer and something basic. So, being military, we have this awesome thing called  PX her at Fort Bliss, and they have a shop at the mall, Freedom Crossing, that sells TOMS.  Well not ONLY do they sell TOMS, but they also will take the canvas shoe and paint them to your liking.  MIND.BLOWN. I have the happiest kid on planet earth with custom Angry Bird Star Wars TOMS.  Look at that face... I mean, you can see it too right?!  He hasn't gone a day without wearing them for the past week and a half. I say we found a winner. And he loves talking about them to everyone that points his shoes out.

I mean, really... Angry Birds Star Wars!!!

Thats all for now folks, we have been busy swimming, playing and enjoying the warm, but not blistering hot temps so far.  I think summer has officially arrived!

Hiatus- OVER!

SO, things have been well, BUSY the last few months.  I am glad to report Im back and full swing ahead!!!

So, for starters, L- hes SIX now, SIX!  Can you believe that!? I know I can't. So, to celebrate, we decided to fly back tot he great mitten state and visit and party with family. It was a small affair. And it was PERFECT.  These boys love each other like brothers, and I'm so glad that L has the cousins that he does. They are all so different in personalities that they complement each other very well! Enjoy the photos of our trip, we LOVED it!

After party fun.. OH YEA... snuggles with Grandma and her baby, Ginger the minpin.

Of course while we are home, we have to see the dentist!
We love Dr. Scott and his crew over at Family Dentistry of Caledonia!

We got to spend some time with our BFF Kaedence at the school carnival!

YUM! Cotton Candy!!!

Orion, Kaedence, Bailey, Landrick, and Eric.

Of Course us Moms
have to get in on the action too...

Ok- So long story short, after almost THREE days of trying to get back to El Paso, we got, well, lets just say enought travel vouchers to come back to the mitten again, a few times over for L and myself. It was a small nightmare, but we made the best of it, extra day with Aunt Denise and kids and the Grandparents, plus a fun night in the hotel room with friends for a last minute hang out and bed jumping session... hey- don't you judge, you know you let your kids jump on hotel beds, but never the beds at home :)

and this isnt even half of them... this was just from Day one of trying to get back home...

Grandma came and hung out with us at the Airport for a while.

Airport Arcade game. Ironman. Kids in heaven.
Grandma was too I think... LOL!

So serious about playing...

Oh the fun! He loved this!
HUGE Ironman fan!

So- I MIGHT have a skill for those claw machines...
yea, he wanted a minion, so I got him the one he wanted.
Only took like two or three tries too!

So, hotel bound. He pretends to sleep.. LOL

Then I said " no its dinner time, lets go eat."
Translation: Get your shoes on now kid, mom needs a drink. So, Applebees' it is!

Oh Snap- chow time.

Jumping Jacks....Only My child would find "working out" in the
hallway of the hotel acceptable at about 830pm. LOL!

Pushups... No I don't make him do this,
he did it totally on his own.
Hey- whatever works to burn energy right?

FRIENDS!!!!

...No Idea....

These three... like the siblings one never has. LOL

mean muggin'

what cheese heads :)

The end... ( no he doesnt sleep with his glasses on... he
passed out like this LOL)

Me being slightly OCD and laying out all the clothes for tmrw,
then cleaning the room,
then making sure EVERYTHING is accounted for and packed away right :)

Yup. I cant have clutter.

Finally, day three of trying to leave, and we fly over a
BEAUTIFUL view of all the ice over Lake Michigan on the way to chicago.
What a trip! :)
